Been Around the Block

Sometimes objects just seem to have a story to tell. At some point in the distant past some young girl must have been thrilled to get this beauty to call her own. I imagine several owners and endless rides down country lanes. Now it serves as a curio ornament, and photo subject at the Peconic Herb Farm.

Creative Balloons

Inspite of the North winds aloft most of the balloons were inflated and tethered at the NY Metro Balloon Fair. This very large dragon balloon prefered a reclining position!

Balloon Bust

Got up at 5 a.m. for the Metro Balloon Fair launch and photo op. Seems as though it's a North wind that blows no good for Balloonist on the South Shore of Long Island, the launch was canceled. Balloons drifting out above the Atlantic Ocean was not what the planners of the fair had in mind. I suppose that balloon retrivial was a potential issue.

Beach Boy

Grandson Connor from seeing the Atlantic Ocean through four year old eyes. It's a long way from Wisconsin to the Atlantic surf line!
