Hearst took the traditional Real Estate slogan to another level. The three most important aspects of Hearst Castle are...the view, the view and the view. The hilltop estate sat among 300 square miles of Hearst owned property. 300 square miles is the equivilent of one third the state of Rhode Island, Hearst wanted to own as "far as he could see".
