October Pastels...It's Showtime on Long Island, the 3rd week in October and most of the trees are showing their colors. It may not be that same profusion seen along Route 7 in Vermont, but it's here and it's now and it's beauty in our own backyard. Autumn on the Island can be a more gradual and less dramatic change, and if we just slow down a touch and tune into our senses...the rewards are many. :-)
